PRĂSENTATION DE L'ENTREPRISE :
The International Public Policy Association (IPPA) is looking for an intern to join the team at its head office located at ENTPE - University of Lyon, France.
IPPA's main objective is to promote scientific research in the field of public policy and to create an academic community bringing together members from around the world. It currently has 1200 members from 80 different countries and is composed of 56 international College representatives, including 21 representatives of the Executive Committee.
IPPA's main activity is to organize the International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP) which takes place every two years (Grenoble 2013 â 900 attendees; Milan 2015 â 1300 attendees, Singapore 2017 - 1300 attendees; MontrĂ©al 2019 - 1300 attendees; Barcelona 2021 - 1250 attendees, Toronto 2023 upcoming). This conference brings together policy researchers from all around the world. In its attempt to reach even more people, the association has undertaken an increasing number of projects â ongoing and future â such as the International Seasonal Schools on public policy for Ph.D. students, the International Workshops on Public Policy, an academic review, books, etc. IPPA also seeks to offer the international academic community resources relevant to the policy field through its website and newsletters (which are sent twice a month to more than 10 000 subscribers). IPPA has also launched an online open-access academic journal, the International Review on Public Policy.
DESCRIPTION DU POSTE :
The intern will contribute to the development of the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) by working on:
âą The organization of ICPP6- Toronto (June 2023)
âą Managing the organization of our seasonal schools (Alps Winter School - March 2023; Nairobi Summer School - April 2023; Padova Summer School - July 2023)
âą Creating content for the association's website and social networks
âą Sending out IPPA newsletters
âą Assisting daily in the administration and management of the association
Please note that IPPA is not a research institute, therefore you won't be involved in any research activities during this internship.
Internship at IPPA
Internship time period: From mid-January to mid-July 2023 (6 months)
Allowance: In accordance with the current French law, the allowance will be approximately âŹ 550/month (for a 35h/week work schedule)
Other benefits: A 50% reimbursement of public transport costs (if applicable) and access to the ENTPE cafeteria (approximately âŹ 4-5 per meal)
Internship location: Head office of the IPPA is located at ENTPE (State National School of Public Works), at the LAET Laboratory (UMR CNRS), 2 rue Maurice Audin, 69120 Vaulx en Velin, France
Administrative requirements: Tripartite intern agreement signed by the internâs university, the intern, and the IPPA
Possibility to have access to student residences near the ENTPE campus during the internship period (rent: approximately 500âŹ-600âŹ depending on the apartment)

The intern has to be a MASTER student for the entire duration of the internship. Graduated students or Ph.D. students are not eligible for this position.
