DESCRIPTION DU POSTE :

Your MISSION

Reporting directly to senior management, you will provide a strong analytical foundation for the agency’s work, applying your experience and in-depth knowledge of market trends and targeted customer groups to uncover new business opportunities and inspire creative ideas.

As Director of Strategic Planning, you will lead Egg’s strategic practice. You will manage a team of four people, but will work closely with all agency personnel in developing plans, recommendations and deliverables. You will oversee and coordinate the writing of proposals and will be responsible for elaborating the strategic direction of each project, whether in French or English.

This position will also require ongoing and in-depth interactions with people outside the agency. You will have direct contact with new and existing clients and will interact with both managers and frontline employees. You will also be asked to conduct meetings and interviews and host working groups. Some overseas travel is to be expected.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze societal and market trends, perform competition analysis, provide insights into developments in the events and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Analyze the brief and contact the client or prospective client to obtain further information about the project
• Write the creative brief
• Set up and coordinate the creative team (copywriter, set designer, artistic director, multimedia production staff, speaker manager, etc…)

As a leader, you will know how to manage, challenge and inspire the creative team to get the best results for each project. Your role will include:

• Organizing brainstorming sessions
• Creating a theme or concept that can be applied to the entire event, along with an event slogan
• Developing and writing the event communications plan
• Developing and formulating the event framework and design
• Proposing innovative ways to lead plenary sessions and meetings
• Contributing ideas to set design and speech writing
• Preparing high quality Power Point presentations that look good and read well
• Presenting the strategy aspects of events to customers/potential customers.
• Working collaboratively with the agency’s RFP and Production departments, helping to widen the debate and inspire new ways of thinking.


DESCRIPTION DU PROFIL

Your PROFILE

You are curious, cultured, convincing and a true product of the digital age. You are known for your strong writing skills, your critical faculties and the detail and subtlety of your analyses. You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the events communications sector, which will facilitate your integration in our ambitious, action-oriented and internationally focused agency. Fluency in English is crucial.

You are hard working, persistent and tenacious. You are proactive and have excellent interpersonal skills as well strong analytical and editorial abilities.

Above all, you are a people person and this is evident in the human-centric vision that you bring to your work. You are organized, detail oriented and methodical. You are a team player, you like to work autonomously and you know how to prioritize tasks and manage stress. Previous experience of the pharmaceutical sector is a plus.

Analytical mind, able to communicate concisely and precisely
Fluent spoken and written English is compulsory – priority will be given to Anglophones
A second language is appreciated
